L’Ombra di Caravaggio di Michele Placido
Italia 1600: il giovane Caravaggio è restio a seguire i dettami ecclesiastici sulla corretta rappresentazione artistica e utilizza prostitute, ladri e vagabondi come modelli per i suoi dipinti sacri. Papa Paolo V commissiona, allora, all’Ombra, agente segreto del Vaticano, un’indagine per decidere se concedergli o meno la grazia dalla condanna a morte. Michele Placido mette insieme un cast sontuoso per indagare il mistero di un uomo che, con la sua vita e con la sua arte, sconvolge e affascina ora come allora.

إيطاليا عام 1600: يتردد الشاب كارافاجيو في اتباع الإملاءات الكنسية على التعبير الفني الصحيح ويستخدم النساء واللصوص والمتشردين كنماذج للوحاته المقدسة. ثم يكلف البابا بولس الخامس العميل السري للفاتيكان والذي يعرف ب”الظل” بإجراء تحقيق ليقرر ما إذا كان سيتم منحه العفو من عقوبة الإعدام أم لا. يجمع المخرج ميكيلي بلاتشيدو مجموعة من النجوم للتحقيق في لغز رجل، بحياته وفنه، يصدم ويفتن الآن كما كان في ذلك الوقت.

Italy 1600: the young Caravaggio is reluctant to follow the ecclesiastical dictates on correct artistic representation and uses prostitutes, thieves and vagabonds as models for his sacred paintings. Then Pope Paul V entrusts the Shadow, a secret agent of the Vatican, with an investigation to decide whether or not to grant him the pardon from the death sentence. Michele Placido brings together a sumptuous cast to investigate the mystery of a man who, with his life and his art, shocks and fascinates now as then.
