DUNIA è una Donna, una Madre, ma è anche, in alcune culture arcaiche, un concetto che rimanda alla Madre Terra; una Natura come Madre – Comprende tutto ed è sorretta da ogni singolo movimento (anche se apparentemente piccolo ed insignificante) e da ogni singola emozione, proiettando il suo significato ultimo su un livello Universale più alto. In questo progetto il suono dell’OUD si adatta ad un contesto più elettrico, senza vincoli stilistici. Il risultato è un incontro tra sonorità diverse: dal jazz alla fusion, alla musica mediorientale, al rock, alla musica psichedelica. Un suono che ricerca un dialogo costante tra Particolare e Universale, cercando di far convivere stili diversi, melodie chiare ed incisive immerse in un contesto sonoro che rimanda ad un secondo livello più profondo, che solo apparentemente sta in sottofondo.

DUNIA is a Woman, a Mother, but in certain archaic cultures, she is also a concept referring to Mother Earth; Nature as a Mother – encompassing everything and sustained by every single movement (even if apparently small and insignificant) and every single emotion, projecting her ultimate meaning onto a higher Universal level.
In this project, the sound of the OUD adapts to a more electric context, free from stylistic constraints. The result is an encounter between diverse sonorities: from jazz to fusion, Middle Eastern music, rock, and psychedelic music. A sound that seeks a constant dialogue between the Particular and the Universal, striving to harmonize different styles and clear, incisive melodies immersed in a sonic landscape that hints at a deeper second level, which only seemingly remains in the background.
