Una delle voci più rappresentative del jazz italiano, da sempre impegnata nella ricerca di linguaggi innovativi e nella valorizzazione della creatività femminile. Dopo aver reso omaggio a figure come Billie Holiday e Abbey Lincoln, Ada esplora ora il mondo del tardo Barocco, secolo di grandi rivoluzioni artistiche e sociali, in cui la musica femminile fu spesso censurata e “proibita”.
Attraverso le opere di Scarlatti, Händel, Caldara, Carissimi, Cesti, Cavalli e Barbara Strozzi, l’artista ne restituisce la forza e la sensualità, con arrangiamenti moderni di Giovanni Falzone. Con lei sul palco una formazione d’eccellenza: Falzone alla tromba, Filippo Vignato al trombone, Giulio Scianatico al contrabbasso e Ermanno Baron alla batteria — tra le voci più vitali del nuovo jazz italiano.

One of the most distinctive voices in Italian jazz, Ada Montellanico has always been committed to exploring innovative musical languages and promoting female creativity. After paying tribute to icons such as Billie Holiday and Abbey Lincoln, Ada now delves into the world of the late Baroque — a century of great artistic and social revolutions, in which women’s music was often censored and deemed “forbidden.”
Through the works of Scarlatti, Händel, Caldara, Carissimi, Cesti, Cavalli, and Barbara Strozzi, the artist restores their strength and sensuality, enriched by modern arrangements by Giovanni Falzone.
Joining her on stage is an outstanding ensemble: Falzone on trumpet, Filippo Vignato on trombone, Giulio Scianatico on double bass, and Ermanno Baron on drums — among the most vibrant voices of the new Italian jazz scene.
