CARI BAMBINI
“CARI BAMBINI” è uno spettacolo assolo di Teatrodanza che nasce dall’esperienza dell’artista degli inumani eventi che si svolgono davanti agli occhi di un mondo apparentemente paralizzato. Quante chiavi di lettura sono possibili? In mezzo a questa umanità fatta di tanti individui che si sentono impotenti, cosa succede se, come semplice ballerino, così futile, così piccolo e insignificante, di fronte ad una catastrofe di tale portata, condivide le immagini dei suoi sogni ed incubi? E se viaggiassimo verso quelle tragedie attraverso l’immaginazione e la compassione? Cosa succede se racconta, attraverso delle scene, le impressioni che lascia quest’umana tragedia? Attraverso la messa in scena di incubi e pensieri, sarà possibile recuperare parte della dignità di essere umano? Saremo allora meno morti?
Salvatore Cataldo – Biografia
Salvatore Cataldo è un artista performativo italiano. Nato in Italia, si è trasferito da adolescente in Turchia, dove ha iniziato la sua carriera da danzatore in televisione. Ballerino e attore, ha studiato danza classica all’Accademia Nazionale di Danza di Roma, per poi diplomarsi in Danza nel 2015 alla Folkwang University of the Arts in Germania, e ricevere una borsa di studio presso la Ailey School di New York. Lavora a livello internazionale come ballerino ed attore e dal 2018 vive in Egitto dove danza, crea, recita, canta e insegna tecniche della danza. Dal 2021 è in tournée in Francia con lo spettacolo La réponse des Hommes di Tiphaine Raffier ed in tournée internazionale con il suo nuovo spettacolo “CARI BAMBINI”

DEAR CHILDREN
“Dear Children” is a solo dance-theater performance born from the artist’s experience of the inhuman events that unfold before the eyes of an apparently paralyzed world. How many keys of lecture are possible? Amidst this humanity made up of so many individuals who feel helpless, what happens if as a simple dancer, so futile, so small and insignificant, faced with a catastrophe of such magnitude, I share the images of my dreams and nightmares? What happens if we travel to those tragedies through imagination and compassion? What happens if I tell, through scenes, the impressions left on me by this human tragedy? Through the staging of nightmares and thoughts, will it be possible to regain some of my dignity as a human being? Will I then be less dead?
About Salvatore Cataldo
Salvatore Cataldo is an Italian performer. Born in Italy, he moved to Turkey in his teens where he began his dance career with the local television. Dancer and actor, he studied Classical Ballet at the National Dance Academy in Rome, then graduated in dance in 2015 from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany, then won a scholarship at the Ailey School in NYC. He works internationally as a dancer and since 2018 has lived in Egypt where he dances, creates, acts, sings and teaches dance techniques. Since 2021 he has been touring France with the show La réponse des Hommes by Tiphaine Raffier, and has just started an international tour of his new performance Cari Bambini.
