Intrecciando il percorso dell’ascesa commerciale e sociale dei Florio con le loro tumultuose vicende private, sullo sfondo degli anni più inquieti della Storia italiana – dai moti del 1818 allo sbarco di Garibaldi in Sicilia – Stefania Auci dipana una saga familiare d’incredibile forza, così viva e pulsante da sembrare contemporanea.
